I can get an eye to eye under weight if you need.

though im not 100% sure mine a RC. I just figured given that the lift was purchased in 1992 and seems like 4"

just checked both frount and rear are 41" eye to eye.

My fronts are 41 eye to eye

My rears are 49.

Damn.

A chart I dug up here says 40 springs are 1070mm (43) front and rear.

45 springs are 1070 front and 1265 (51) rear

55 springs are 1071 front and 1155 (47) rear and have centered pins.

60/2 springs are 1058 front and 1160 rear and wider. 79.6 vs 68.9mm

Goebs believes that he put a skyjacker kit on my 40 (when I was 11), not a rough country. I think I agree.

4" lift springs on the front work great except my pinion points at the ground. I ordered some shims.

The rears are very short.

Wondering about doing a SOA on the rear. It was already about an inch lower than the front. If I can get 5" from a SOA I should be close. I ordered a set of perches. I can get a SOA on the rear mocked up in less than an hour.

52" Chevy springs should work. I just don't know what to get to get 4" of lift over what I have now.

I know I'm late to the game but if you are still considering the dead 78, I will go in with you on the purchase. Also let me know if you need anymore measurements, I have a new 2.5" OME lift on my truck.
