Great videos.

Thanks Andrew. It actually is a bit tedious putting it together, but fun for a dork like me :)

cool video...the ending around the campfire was really cool

I was going for Blair Witch meets Fear and Loathing in LV :)

I redid it to WSP covering "And It Stoned Me" and it is uploading now. I liked it much better when the soundtrack was "Circle" from Big Head Todd and The Monsters, but BMG are morons and don't realize YouTube is a FANTASTIC way to promote their artists.

Awesome recap of the events. Should use this as some promo material for next year's event...

I saw KidGlove from VA that joined us in URE last year heading back from Corolla to the brewery. His is early FJ80 gray w stinger and blacked out grill, wheels, etc.

Saw lots of Built 80's not in the group; and some nice stockers too.

That wasn't KidGlove, I sent him a PM to ask him. Guess it will be a mystery.

Ah, the Spruce Goose......a very odd creature, but good I think.
One of our Seasonals/Specialty Beers.

What Bret didn't tell you is that the rest of the "Normal" beer I sent out got consumed shortly after arrival....(Sorry to drop the dime on you Bret)

The story behind how my Cruiser got a nod on the bottle (other than the fact that I designed the label and can do whatever the hell I want):

Every year the brewdawgs go up to "Little Molas" in the San Juan National Forest to collect fresh growth spruce tips to make the Spruce Goose, and every year they acquire a permit to do so. Last year, our head brewer Kenny forgot the permit on his desk. I got a call in the middle of the day from the boys and apparently a overzealous National Forest employee (read: outhouse sanitation engineer) got all over their case and threatened a federal charge of larceny or public theft or some such ridiculousness unless he was shown the permit first-hand, basically being a serious ass-hat. Phone calls to his superiors explaining our compliance were tossed aside by his fervor to ride us like red-headed step children. Kenny needed me to drive the permit up to them. So I jumped in Ingrid and headed up the pass. Just because I knew the guy was all fired up, and because he was being an ass, I decided to accentuate my mock sense of urgency by coming into the National Forest parking lot hot, I mean really hot, like Dukes of Hazzard hot. 40MPH, full fade, skidding sideways on the gravel to a stop a couple feet from the guy, so I could show him the permit. He was not amused, but couldn't really do s*** about it. I was however, a hero to the other guys for my (and Ingrid's) grand entrance.

There's the story....

Actually I was told that :grinpimp:

So how does one go about getting the goose out here??

Unfortunately, that issue is in flux right now...In addition to the fact that it (The Goose) is a "limited run" Seasonal....

So the only way would be "Smokey & the Bandit" style next time we brew it this summer. That or risk shipping it labeled as "Yeast Samples for Analysis"....

I work for a pharmaceutical company (which does fermentation), so the latter would work!

Well I've posted it on all the other boards, got to get ours also. Thanks to those who took the pics I stole!

I want to thank all the sponsors and attendees who made the 2010 Olde North State Cruisers OBX Spring Tide Ride possible. We had a great time hanging out on the beach where we encountered 3 separate herds of wild horses, a grey seal, Canadians with hydrogen powered vehicles, and a Yeti sliding down a large dune.

The ride was well represented with attendees from AZ, KY, GA, SC, VA, and of course NC. We had a comfortable group of 26 rigs, 2 overheating FZJ80's, a 40 with a case of the shakes (mine), a 45 spitting flames, and a very large D-ring that happened to have a 40 growing out of the side of it.

Thanks to Trollhole for the new dizzy, Iron Pig for the skid plate, Budbuilt and Toy Outfitters for the ability to accessorize our Cruisers. Thanks to our other sponsors Fred Anderson Toyota, Baldree Tire, Griffin Bros. Tire, Great Outdoor Provision Company, Carquest of Buxton, Island Perks Cafe, Frisco Woods Campground, Trasharoo, Overland Journal, Buxton Seafood, and Frisco Rod and Gun for all the other cool items that kept our raffle well stocked.

The Outer Banks Brewing Station did a good job of not making us cook after a long drive on Thursday. Oh and the beer was good, too!

Come visit the ONSC site for some snap shots. More pics posted all the time!

Thanks again from Olde North State Cruisers!
See you in 2011! Attached Images
