Looking at the events calendar today and started to request some time off. Sitting here watching Ramon's Spring Tide videos and I gotta tell you guys I am craving some salty air. I know it's early but anyone started pre-planning? talks about camping vs getting a house again?

Yeah, the dates are on the recently published calendar. Heather will be coming up with the artwork and T-shirt design soon. Based on past turnouts, and Logan's becoming the big ride of the year, I'd like to move this a house up on the North end of OBX near Carova. This will allow us to drive on the beach, not pay a fee, with more space to drive. I love Frisco Woods, but in one case we rented a house for the same cost as everyone camping.

I would hate to be a fly in the ointment, but would it make sense to make this a little later in the year for warmer weather? In the past, this was geared around the closures down South, IIRC. Probably too late, but maybe a thought for next year. Wellers are a STRONG maybe.

Yeah, but we've also had some great low 70's weekends also. It was that, and we tried to keep as much space between that and GSMTR, which continues to creep up every year! Lily is tracked out from April 20th to May 12th, so I'm flexible for weekends, but it depends on the others already committed.

Turns out we are going to Europe for a couple of weeks and won't be back until the week of STR Weller's out. Boo. Was really looking forward to this trip as I thought Dozer would be perfectly setup by then.

OK, Two weeks have past since my call for who's in. So, I'm rolling with this group, Sarah, Eric, Eric are we going north and getting a house, or staying south and going to Frisco Woods again?

Yeah the family and I are interested. Obviously depends on cost but would prefer a house anyway if not a bank killer. Someone pm me the details cost wise. I have never been to the outer banks. I think the wife has. Kids definitely have not. I would probably leave on a Thursday. Arrive on a Friday then leave on a sunday to be home on a Monday. Can only drive for so long with 4 kids and an exhaust leak!

The houses in Carova are relatively inexpensive if rented before Memorial Day.
