Let us know about group meals. Trying to pack light.

Have fun yall! I will be at Parris Island on May 1 haha good times!

So, check in is no earlier than 4 on Sunday for those arriving that day, however I have a presentation to give a group on Sunday afternoon and won't be able to pick the keys up until 7-8 that night, so plan accordingly. I'll see if someone else can retreive them, but as of right now don't plan on getting there early (or just occupy yorself until then).

We may end up going down Saturday and getting a room somewhere. Let me know and I can grab keys is needed.

We are going to leave Saturday after lunch sometime. Will get at least half way there. Will have to kill time Sunday I guess.

So do those of us staying all week get a bedroom?

Just be wary of the time you head up. The main road to Corolla is one lane. So If it is remotely near check in time, it's a bear getting through.

Yeah erymer once it gets closer I will send you my #. Maybe we can meet up once we get there.

Yes, everyone registered gets a bedroom. it's a 9 bedroom house...

We will get there early. I could probably be there sometime Saturday night if I knew a sure place to camp and hang out until Sunday afternoon.
Maybe around Kitty Hawk somewhere? Of near the end of the mainland?

Ok, as a wife I have some unanswered questions.
1. Any ideas for meals? One night a group boil-anyone have a good seafood connection out that way. Is the plan potluck every night, or fend for yourself? I'm assuming that we are on our own for breakfast and lunch.
2. I thought I read something about planning activities. Of course driving to see the horses is a must. Here are a few things I was keeping in mind IF we get tired of the pool and ocean. In Corolla- Outer Banks center of wildlife education, and Whalehead. Kill Devil Hills- Wright brother memorial. Nags Head- Jockey's Ridge state park. Mantel- NC aquarium, The lost colony, and Island Farm.

Trying to get an idea of what all to plan on packing.

So, yes plannng for meals is a must as we're limited for kitchen space. But, let's move this back and forth to email and we'll get this rolling. Both for the meal planning and events. Normally we've done the big sightseeing type stuff on the weekend, but since we've got a big group staying the entire week, we can plan some different side trips.

The horses should be all around the houses up there, we've seen them the most in that area, and almost ran ome over coming over the dunes...

Just let us know what we need to bring group meal wise.

Our kid is allergic to about damn near everything but we will partake in group meals as much as we can. I was thinking of whipping up a ton of bags of pre-made pancake and waffle mix and bringing our griddles. I could cook pancakes every morning for most people most days. I'll bring a big jar of peanut butter and couple gallons of Mrs. Butterworths (outlawed in our house) . I'll make regular pancakes but my kid goes crazy on sugar, is allergic to gluten and peanuts so I'll be making a small separate batch for him as anyway. We will do our best with some fruit but can't promise we can bring enough to feed the whole house (fill up our Honda Pilot quick!!) We will fend for ourselves for lunch all days so if someone wants to bring their favorite sausage or bacon I figure 2 of the 9 families can feed most people most days for breakfast. I figure milk will take up a large amount of space in the fridge ( we use almond and or hemp (also allergic to milk). I'm not a coffee drinker but I also don't actually drink much beer anymore so I'll probably bring a small bit of coffee just to get me out of bed in the mornings :) Might bring a few boxes of cereal too.
