"N8" and I wanted to come, but we're headed to Rutland, VT to do an Iron Guild thing. Japanese tv show, ItteQ, is filming a segment where we teach the show host to weld and pour molten metal. Yikes!

FJC is right at 50K miles so will be doing an oil change and lube the driveshafts. Might also have the tech look at the suspension. Sheri is complaining of a clunk when shifting.

Wish I could make it just to hang out in the shop after and lend a hand. After working on the new ones all day long its nice to work on some of the old stuff. But I have to be in Hudson at 2 for a godparent class. Never heard of such a thing but we have to do it before the baptism next weekend

A little bit of good bad news. Took the 45 in for an oil change getting ready for the drive on Sunday. As I'm leaving the lot the throttle cable snaps. Too short to put back together, need new cable. Glad it happened now while I was only 5 miles from my house. Have to work all day and night tomorrow so no time to fix it. So I guess I'll be driving up in the 4Runner. If anyone has a throttle cable that's coming to the meeting that would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to sneak off the job & buy a universal cable. Not what i need but I think I can Make it work good enough to get me to the meeting and back. That's if I get out of work iN time to fix it. Been here since 4am and might not get out till late. Either way I will be there.

Best of luck to both you and Maggie Chip.

Nai has asked that any of us wanting to have work done on our trucks tip the technicians. They are volunteering to do this and not being paid for their expertise.

Looking forward to kicking the season off.

You usually don't last to the point in which we get to the garage Rick.

Here's a tip for you- lots of fluid and asprin before bed.

Great showing today guys! I'm really excited for the upcoming season and getting to know some of our new members. Thanks to Nai and his techs for opening up their conference room and shop to us. For those that weren't there we are looking for volunteers for several key positions this year(Secretary, NEA Delegates etc.) and leadership positions (Pres and VP) will be open next year. Our members are what make this club great so please consider helping out if you have time. It is only a few hours a month.

Yeah Bob, Mario pimped my ride!

Turns out that the Toyota online parts program as well as the Hunter alignment machine does not recognize early FJ40 vin #s as they are not long enough. Not very convenient for all the old cruiser owners in the country. We used Kina's 60 vin to get the Hunter to work. Those stylin' Carolla caps were needed to mount the Hunter wheel sensors.
