Was driving to check the waves on a crappy summer night and look what I found! Almost drove right by before my mind registered what I was looking at:

I thought the turbo diesel badges were cool too. I felt bad taking pictures and thought someone would come out and yell at me, apologies to owner if they are on Mud. The interior looked like a modern 70 not an 80's

The snorkel looked factory and said land cruiser on the side.

Anyone who owns a 70 Series, especially a 75/79 Series pickup in the U.S. should be accustomed to someone taking photos. :)

it had Cali plates, newer ones. I edited out the plates and stickers so they owner wouldn't be pissed - did not have diplomatic tags. Got the vibe it was from down by Pismo b/c had surf & turf stickers and some other mid-cal looking decals. Thing was the Boss

The emergency tape on the sides of the tray and the tow bar are commonly seen on mine trucks here. Alloy tray has a faint red glow ,possibly from the red dust found in the remote parts of oz.
Not all of them get run into the ground .The tray could be off another landcruiser.
Its got OME nitro charger shocks, same as mine:cool:

That tray is the exact same make as my tray, I think from memory the old sticker on it was a motor body building company in Victoria

if this an Aussie truck its a long way from home in San Francisco

it was a manual

This is also an Aussie truck ...... Like most 70 Series currently in the U.S., it enjoyed a relaxing ocean cruise. :)

Its an aussie truck alright. They are about the only ones that have trays in large numbers and use the larger Britech mirrors to see around the tray.

That a 75 series with the 78-79 series grille and turn signals. Makes the front look so much cleaner IMO. Nice truck to have wish I still had my HJ75 Troopy I just sold.

Just curious, what identifies that particular truck as a 75 Series and not a newer 79 Series?
