I just got 275/70-18 KO2's installed yesterday and the speedometer is off by about 7% as it should be since these are bigger than stock tires.

But with the speedo reading lower, my odometer will be off as well as my calculated mileage.

What has everyone who went with bigger tires done to correct the speedometer?

I like the Yellowbox as well (had one on my 80) but have heard it can potentially mess with the cruise control operation. No firsthand experience with this issue though.

I've never had problems with the Yellowbox messing with my cruise control. A worn out steering rack will mess with the cruise control and ABS system

I’m not sure if you have navigation, if you do you can recalibrate your speedo under the settings. No need to buy anything.

I belive you may have an incorrect understanding. I recall a thread with in depth discussion of same topic and if i recall the correction for larger tires had to be made with an aftermarket component.

Whats your definition of a larger tires? On my 2004 LX, I have 38x15.50 which is probably one of the biggest tires I have seen on a LX or I think only one has a 40" tires on a 100 series Landcruiser. I was able to calibrate my speedometer/GPS using the built in calibration within the factory Lexus navigation system. I don't care how it got calibrated but somehow both my speedometer and GPS were successfully calibrated. With my large tires my speedometer is right on with "this is your speed" radar based check, I also used my wife car to pace me at the same speed to check, as well as my now new navigation (pioneer avic 8200) GPS based speed and my phone GPS or cell tower location based speed. All I'm saying is if you have a factory Lexus navigation system, give it a shot before you spend your money. Somebody in this community have posted the same question and after long discussions he was able to calibrate and got similar result as mine even though he only have ~33" tires.

Here is the other discussion:

Is there a way to correct speedometer after bigger tires

Another vote for yellowbox. Have one on both trucks, old dip switch version as well as the push-button programmable. Works flawlessly without any issues for nearly a decade.

Thank you Beast! I didn’t know this was possible. I’ll give it a try
@SlowBuild Please come back and post the results of your recalibration with the navigation unit after you determine the results.

i was wondering about this too.
2006 LC with Nav
wanting to go to 275/70/18

@planomateo I found this conversion on tiresize.com.
but it's true with the Nav u can go in and use Calibrate and it will adjust it without needing anyone else to get involved, so that's pretty cool.

Been running the Yellow Box for about six years now, zero issues, just works. No problem with cruise control.

I recently installed this, works great:
