I'm looking for some advice on the proper way to install the speedometer cable 0rings and oil seal. Part number 78 below is the one which I'm really not sure about.
According to the parts breakout on SOR, it looks like there are 3 parts to seal the oil from coming out of the tcase. These are 78, 79 and 80.
Part 79 is the larger o-ring that goes around the speedo driven gear housing (part 2), seems simple enough.
Part 80, I assume is the felt dounut that you put on the end of the speedo cable before attaching the cable to the speedo driven gear housing (part 2).
Part 78, "O-ring", according to the SOR site.
Where exactly is this o-ring installed? Anyone know?
