Hey Guys, Glad I found this site. Love my LandCruiser a ton, and this is coming from a vintage Bronco devotee. Anyhow, I had a new cylinder head installed late last summer and evidently my EXXXX mechanic installed the alternator bolt improperly. The belts shredded on my wife yesterday and I don't have the alternator bolt since it is along a road somewhere in central IN. Is this fastener standard or is it a special bolt specific to this application? I am project engineer of a tool room, so I could mod a standard bolt or make one if I had to. I will order a new one as soon as I can, but, if I can get by for a couple days, that would be great.
Thanks, filster

You still have a vintage Bronco? let's see a pic! :)

what year 80 do you have? These are pictures from the 96 FSM, which is 93-97. Have what you're looking for?

Welcome :flipoff2:

I have "lost" a few bolts here and there. I have found that NAPA has most of em. If not the Stealership is second choice.

alt bolt (hey, that rhymes!)

Nak, thanks for the diagram, it will help a ton, my store bought manual is about worthless sometimes. I will try my local NAPA, but, brought home some metric all thread and nuts to build one if I have to for now. I don't have any mo Broncs at the moment, although my son wants to build one when he is ready to drive. My last was a '76 with a full fam cage, a fuelie 5.0, lots of f/glass, prerunner bumpers, soft top and doors, and a custom aluminum dash. It was not a rock crawler, but, it was fun to drive fast. Now our toys are our dirt bikes, I have a KTM and he has a Suzook RM. Thanks for the response guys, appreciate it.
