I'll say it, its gonna look janky but might work or it might not. I think a proper solution for the door or aftermarket bumper is the only way to go. Does your door have the encapsulated nuts you are just missing the bracket? You can sometimes find used parts for these on the JDM auto recycler part sites. Also, Isuzu Troopers from that era used a very similar door bracket for mounting the spare, even that could be a better option than a LR swingaway.
 
Yeah, does the rear door have the internal bracing to support a door tire carrier?

JDM Prado owners seem to like taking the spare wheel mount off the rear door. Aesthetics, probably.

If your truck has four captive nuts in the rear door, then it probably had a spare wheel mount. You can buy the mount and re-install it. This is the low-cost option, as it certainly costs less than that LR carrier.

Fabrication is involved with the kit you mention. It may require some work to function as intended.

If you want a swing-type tire carrier, get a Kaymar or something similar and do not look back. It does cost more but installation is easier.
