I saw this ad on my local craigslist. Can't get the guy to respond. Assuming it is spam - anyone recognize the ad? I figured I would check here before I flag the post.

Horrible photographs. Probably for a reason. LHD with a nasty looking engine compartment. I suspect a mine truck.
PZJ75 based on he says its a 5 cylinder...? I have heard of PZJ75 troopys coming out of germany. Maybe thats where this is from. This truck was on Hemmings.com a little over a year ago and the pictures were similarly bad.
I agree its probably an ex mine truck or something of that nature. "All new body panels"... who know what kind of abuse that chassis has taken. I wouldn't say its spam though.

Thanks for the info. I knew someone would have some ideas. May not matter cause I still can't him to call me back or email me.
The lid of the airbox alone would scare me away.

Classic! same ol "vehicle is in storage in (enter some random state here)" story. There was a left hand drive 1hdt powered 80 series with the same BS story attached to it recently.
I thought the only problem the U.K. had was mashed peas and greasy fish and chips.
Neither one. It's a scam. It'd be cool if there's a N. Dakota MUD member who would like to play along.

I told him I would go ahead and wire $10,000 to make sure the deal went through and (then flagged the post). He didn't reply with wiring instructions yet . . .
