let me get this straight. there is a cruiser club in s.c.? hmmmmmm....
i thought sc is a bunch of clay and flatlands. where do you guys hold your meetings at, the mall parking lot? ;p and then take turns watching as people climb curbs in their MALL cruisers, right. yee-haw!!
I WANT TO JOIN!!! :flipoff2:
and here i thought that i was the only one in s.c. taking pleasure in curb climbing. i live in charleston, and the only cruisers i see here are the ones driven by the yuppy mommies. personally, i am infatuated with cruisers, i think they are the most capable trucks out there for wheeling. unfortunaltly, the only thing i get to lock down here are my car doors!
where are you guys at? i saw clemson somewhere in the thread, and i have a friend who goes to clemson i want to visit. i need a good excuse to go!

We are located in the upstate of SC it is not one specific town, we have a few Members in north carolina guys too......... Got about 45-50 in the club at present. You are more than welcome to join the mailing list if you want to keep up on our events and meetings................. And we do a little more than mall cruising we are pretty close to the mountains here............ check this link to some local trails we ride.........

If you have a friend in Clemson come on up there are about 8 of us that live right here in clemson and 4 of us being college students like myself.........

If you want to join up drop me a line: Jvirgo@clemson.edu

Thanks
JP

Yeah man come up here youll notice the sandhills stop before you get this far northwest of you and theres actually some rocks and mountains. Theres good times to be had wheeling around here.

oh yee of little knowledge

Dude, I wouldn't let my lack of geography skills show so easily. ;-)
True, youse lowcountry boys are mightly deprived when it comes
to wheeling areas, but don't let the "local" conditions of red clay and sand
warp your perceptions of SC. (j/k) :-)
I look out my window here in Pumpkintown (1200 ft elevation) at a
3500 ft granite rock face known as Table Rock.
The little pic to my left here is a little place called Hush Hole. Lockers
and a willingness to incurr trail stripes are necessary to play there.
Drag that Cruiser up here to God's Country and we'll show you a good time.
Hell, Jim from Fla, a club member bought a mountain top here locally
for his get- a- way. It's an old J**P off road race track.
At one time this area sold more H**ps than any place in the USA.
The state recently bought 33K acres of mountain wildnerness
along the SC/NC border. This is the Cherokee's hunting grounds.
Dang...there are more Cruisers around here than you could believe!
Heck, there are two 40s for sale in the local paper this week.
Our annual meet draws about 40 to 50 cruiserheads and that is just the
guys who can make it.
While this area ain't no Upper Tellico ( 4 hour drive there) it does offer some
fun wheeling areas.
We'd love to have you join us sometime.
Let that beast mingle among it's own kind.
What model are your driving? It sounds like an 80/100.
I'm sure we can get you into the deep woods without much carnage. ;-)

hey bigworm. i also live in charleston. keep an eye out for a blue fj62 on 33s with an arb because thats me. what are you driving?

ive got a maroon fj80 that sits on 285 A/T's. its pretty simple now, except for the torn up bumper, but during christmas break ill be putting a brushguard and taillight covers on. ill keep an eye out for you tclndcrz. i live on james island but go to school at the university of north charleston, so you might see me anywhere in between there or at Folly Beach, my hometown. give me a call sometime and we can go take turns climbing curbs at the citadel mall, that is, if your not scared! just kidding, ive actually heard of a some trails here, but they are all mud, and IH8MUD!!

As for the rest of you, thanks for the offers. are there multiple clubs in S.C.? if so i probably need to be in the one that drinks the most   .

I'm sure we can get you into the deep woods without much carnage. ;-)

so how hardcore are these trails? im not looking for a kentucky derby! i dont try to mistake my maroon paint for a chainsaw. how many 80's and 100's join you guys? which ones seem to be the most capable? i havent seen what my truck can do yet, i just got it this summer and the only time i locked it up was on a cape hatteras surftrip, but it handled perfectly. how far away are you guys from charleston?

oh yeah,
gundy, you might want to go back to geography class, b/c YOU AINT ON THE MAP!! :flipoff2:
leave geography to us lowcountry boys! just kidding, i appreciate the invite, it sounds like a blast.

hey tclndcrz

wow small world. actually john crumrine is my dad. I live on Folly Beach and im a senior at James Island High. I will deff keep an eye out for your truck. i love all land cruisers and i too h8mud.

hey toycruiser, im going to need more letters than that, maybe youll let me buy a vowel. you must have forgotten that people in s.c. go to s.c. public schools!!

as for the clemson college guys, id love to get together to play some pong. i have to warn you though that i have the upper hand, i really suck, so i get to drink the most beer! what majors are you guys working on? im half through with a civil engineering degree down here. translation: no life and no women!

tclndcrz, this is a small world. im sure ive seen you, i grew up on folly. you must surf b/c i know your dad likes to surf. im at the washout all the time when theres waves and its a little warmer than right now. come to think of it, the last time i talked to your dad he was selling a pathfinder b/c he wanted a landcruiser. he must have influenced you some. i went to james island back in the day. i remember we used to always go to school, eat breakfast at the cafeteria, and then cut to go surfing or raid our parents liquor cabinets. i heard they put the law down the last couple years though.

No problem! Most trails locally can be driven in yo Mama's Caddy. :-) The trail
we'll do locally next is Muster Grounds. Very easy.

So there you go Malph architorture can be miserable too.................but I def would never want to be an engineer of anytype way to much math............and no hot girls in that major;)
