My HAMOM in Sept.
UPDATED 7-19
My plan is to have the body work done, the truck painted, all the parts and pieces cleaned before the HAMOM. I have a media balster cabinet now and have been working on cleaning up and painting all the metal pieces. But I really need to get to work if I am going to make this.
So the list of things to do now looks like this:
*Remove Webber carb and install clean and tweaked aisan carb (the carb is with Jim C for a rebuild right now, should be done and back mid-August)
*Reinstall linkage (which I think Alan has...Can someone bring it to OTMT for me so I can get it cleaned up and ready to go?)
*Disconnect electric fuel pump and install OEM fuel pump (ordred, received and in the basement)
*Reinstall air filter assembly (I have the stock one and it's in the basement, clean and ready to go)
*Reinstall heaters after clean and rebuild (I have all the stuff to rebuild them, so I gotta do that)
*Change blower motor and resistor thingy under the hood (I have the new/used one)
*Install new shocks and springs and shackles and break hoses and castor shims and steering stabilizer (Alcans on order, all other stuff should be here this week)
*Put remainder of stuff back together on the truck (lights, doors, weather stripping, etc.). This one is not critical, but it's something that people can do while other things are going on.
*Track down electrical gremlin and kill it
*Have someone teach me how to adjust the drum brakes
Now, the important parts...I will have a keg. And a grill. And a place to sleep for everyone that drives here to help me.
I was looking at the calandar and wanted to float 2 dates for the HAMOM. Sept 15 or Sept 22. September is a busy month...Beasley Bash the 7-9th, Annual Event the 29-30. So it's hard to squeeze a HAMOM in there too, but those are the only weekends available.
Let me know which one y'all like better and you think it might be doable at this point.
Thanks!!!
