We are looking into making another run, however I would like to get comments on why it was a bad product for some. Price I can not do much about, since it is extremely low volume 3D printing.

I did not think it was a bad product on my end. It just wouldn't work on my rig due to where I run my phone. I just didn't see myself using it, so I sold it for what it cost me to Craig. Btw.... $39 is nothing. The price was spot on for what it is....

It wasn't bent metal, welded and polished or conversely milled from solid unobtainium... there for; bad product. :grinpimp:

off topic I replied to your email regarding the rear bumper.

The OEM switch that I installed in it cost way more than the panel! Nothing wrong with the cost of the panel.

Well my biggest disappointment was it did not fit. I had to do a lot of grinding to get it to fit.

Color and texture did not match anything on the dash. After a couple years now, its faded and looks worse.

CB microphone clip doesn't hold the microphone well. Always pops out on rough roads.

Ya know, I just thought of this. I see that the holder is round-ish, what if you glued a magnet onto the back of the holder (so you couldn't see it) and painted another black and glued that on the back of the microphone or something? That'd be a possible solution for it popping out all the time. Idk, something to try out if you've got properly sized magnets with enough strength but not too much.

They could make the mic holder a bit deeper. Should be room....

That would be better and easier than magnets.

Fellow cruiserhead and cop has been using these in his department:

Little spendy for a mic mount, but damn they work good.

Yeah this is like what I was talking about except something that isn't nearly as visible. Not a bad idea but magnets are relatively pricey.

The panel is cool enough for the price, I also emailed Christo last month interested in one and found they were currently NLA.

I won't mount any switches on the center console because it's already cluttered up with cables for radios and device chargers. It's also my favorite place to spill coffee. Instead I'm going to put a bunch of switches up above the rearview mirror and then regret it half way through for all the extra wiring difficulty but that's how I roll.

For Mics I ordered a pair of Icom Commercial mike hangers from antenna farm, they should be a cut above the junky ones I found elsewhere... I hope.

Rob, does this look better? Thanks Mxndrnks for the elusive Slee panel!

Looks good Craig, just be sure not to blind the guy behind you when you hang the mic :D

My mic's (HF, UHF/VHF) are hidden in my center console so I don't use the switch mic holder. I just place the mic in the drink holder when on a trail. The Slee part is not the expense. It's the separate OEM switch & harness at around $70 from C-Dan that turns this into over an $100 Investment!

Sorry man but that's pretty ugly.

If you are going big and ugly use one of those surface mount ARB switches. The Toyota switch is designed for a recessed mounting.

I went through this same consideration an ended up using the console pocket with Hella switches.

Robred - Can you provide me details of the fabrication of that switch cover? I had the AHC removed on my 06 and just figured out how to pop out the AHC switch panel (super easy...). I'm in dire need of locating switches for: 1) ARB compressor, 2) ARB rear locker switch, 3) exterior LED lights (haven't purchased yet). I've already got the compressor and have the locker on order.

Thanks
