Been searching and still searching for a source for the pan head screws that hold the top of an Aisan carburetor together. Couldn’t find the perfect screw in McMaster-Carr’s inventory?

Size: M5x0.8x20

Thanks for any help!

Thanks @aer0397. Don’t know why I didn’t think of checking with CR? Now I have that dumb feeling!

Take care

Only downside is that CR uses non-captured lockwashers.
Something like this is more ideal in my mind.

Or if you want to dig further:

I like those JIS screws with the captured washer.
Is that what you use?

I prefer junkyard hunting for oem hardware and having it replated but for new I usually go Toyota since the air horn screws are available, albeit bright chromate. Otherwise yes I order from 3rd party like above.

I’ll check with my Toyota parts professional.
I wish there was a junk yard with LC’s but they don’t exist in Northern NM!

That’s just it - you look at non Land Cruiser Toyotas from 70-90s. So much overlap, so I scour like a hawk. It’s how you find connectors, switches, hardware, yadda yadda. Even bigger trick, any part number that isn’t -6xxxx, i use Toyodiy or similar to look at vehicles it came on then also look at similar. There’s lots of ways to get parts if you’re savvy.

/this\ So true Nate, so true.😊

IIRC, the last time I needed those screws in a pinch I got 100 in yellow cad from SOR for less than dealer cost for OE.

And of course I have a bin box with several hundred used ones. :grinpimp:
