SOR won't sell me a lv windshield template :(

Have you ever been to SOR? If they are selling glass why would they send a template out to you?

Ask here and someone will get the details.

Also, you should note if you have the long brow (3.5" overhang) or the short brow (1.5"- 1967 overhang) as the glass is different for the two.

uhmm Rick_d been driving the lv for like 5 years now the windshield glass issue was settled. and no you could not pay me to go to SOR. on this particular issue all I wanted them to do was include a trancing of one of their glass windshields along with the gasket that I did buy from them. it would have made some things easier but in the long run it worked out better to make my own template. for those looking to get a windshield in without one as a frame of reference get a frig box piece of card board cut it roughly to size then have some one hold it in place and trace your opening then take that and the gasket you plan to use (my glass guy said he could have gotten a better gasket than SOR was selling) to the glass place and they can cut it. if you can get them to come to your truck all the better. this is not as hard as it seems its a flat peice of glass it is kidney shaped that was the only hiccup.

Yep. Kidney shaped. That was a little bit of a stumbling block the first time I went to make a template. You can't measure from side to side and from top to bottom to get a rough shape.

I dropped my template for the LV and the broken glass off at the glass cutter today.
