Hello all,
First off, let me say how incredibly easy it was to replace the rear rotors and pads on my 97 40th anniv LC. Gotta love that Japanese engineering. Also, by looking at the first pic below, I think it is very apparent why my truck was surging so badly when braking. There is hardly anything left of the passenger side rotor and there's even a bite mark!! Must be those pesky desert beavers that are so common here in Arizona.......
Next, a question for you brake experts: What is up with the spring and the retaining pin hoochie-majigger thing in the 2nd pic? I did the driver's side after completing the passenger side. I don't recall the spring being bent like that or stickin out so far. What's deally-yo? BTW, my E-brake doesn't work, I thought the cable needed to be adjusted but could this be a factor also?
