I was trying to lie to myself, saying the frame might be good, and then he goes and posts an update.

$200 for a rotten cab and frame............. $100 in fuel .............nine hours driving..............chance at another unfinished project in the yard.......................thinking about it.

I talked to a guy back east in the mid nineties about a short bed pickup he was selling. He told me the rust wasn't too bad. When I said I would tow it out west with a tow bar he said that wouldn't work because the frame would fall apart I guess how bad rust is depends on what part of the country your in. I ended up buying one from Northern CA instead.
