Saw this in craigslist today:

"I need a front bumper for a 1995 toyota land cruiser. have checked junk yards and have had no luck! 562-577-5439 Thank you"

Might mean a little $ for one of you guys with an extra one layin' around. I would have sold it to him myself, but I threw mine out a couple of months ago. Wife was bitchin' at me about it. :crybaby:

Good luck.

I finally gave away the '95 bumper that was in my garage for years a few months ago. I would have just given it to this guy as well but doubt he'd drive to San Diego even if it was free.

he can have mine on Saturday afternoon.
I'll be putting this on!

Strong work Pablo! I have been lusting after one of those since Christo first showed it off. Be sure and post up pictures when you get it on so the rest of us can feel even worse. :flipoff2:

Is it possible to modify the non winch model to accomodate a winch? Or are they completely and fundamentally different?

thanks

Noob here!

Well, new to this area of Mud, anyway....

My name is Dana, I live in the San Fernando Valley, and I drive a diesel-powered FJ80, silver/grey color. I'm sure I've met some of you over the years.

I emailed Mark about last year's get-together, he suggested I post up here. So here I is!!!!

Anyway, if you guys are doing any trips upcoming, do you list them here? I'd love to join some of you for a day or weekend of wheeling.

thanks, looking forward to meeting some of you fellow 80-series owners.

Dana

Welcome Dana! You aren't Danamotors from the Norcal list are you? Just read your sig line - you've gotta be the same guy - stinky engine and HUGE tank of a front bumper! Remember sputnik on Scott's Anza trip last February - that's me.

If so, we have met.

To answer your question - the front of the bumper is fundamentally different to accomodate the winch. Most pics of the ARB front bumpers on this site are winch ready.

They are different and the NON winch can easily be made to accomodate a winch with a little extra bracing inside.

The super clean install is the Winch into the NON winch bumper with the Hawse fairlead and synthetic line, almost complete hides the winch from thieves, etc....

A lot of folks are installing Hawse fairlaids and synthetic rope and the ARB WINCH bumper has a bunch of differnt provisions for the rollers. Personally, i think the WINCH bumper that does NOT use the rollers is weird looking!

I am going to go to a Winch bumper with an old school winch with steel cable and roller fairlead.
