Solid Axle Summit #9 is winding down today and some friends have convinced me that I need to bring my 60 next year, so I'm putting out a thread if anyone else wants to make the trip as well.
This is a pretty big commitment so I'm starting a thread now so if anyone is interested they have time to plan.

What it is- Solid Axle Summit is an annual gathering of any Toyota 4x4 equipped with a solid front axle. This is the only formal requirement to bring a truck. There lots of vintage rigs, but there is also a little bit of everything.

Where is it- Ouray, Colorado. In the heart of the San Juan mountain range. The event takes over the Ouray KOA campground for the week.

This event is a very laid back gathering of Toyota enthusiasts from all over the country. A friend of mine who has attended the past 4 events has called it "Landcruiser Summer Camp". I got to attend for one day only in 2024 and it was still an amazing experience. You get to spend a week with other Toyota enthusiasts in the San Juans and wheel some of the best trails in the country; Black Bear Pass, Engineer's Pass, Imogene Pass, Alpine Loop, etc... There is no set schedule or group, just meet some new friends that are going down a trail you want to run and follow them.
These trails are serious, so if you want to go make sure your truck is well sorted and your brakes are solid.

Let me know if anyone has questions or would like to attend.

Official Event link from this year (Follow this page as they'll post next years event)
