I put my 2006 up for sale a year ago b/c I wanted to buy a local '06 in Thundercloud gray. That never transpired. I am putting it up for sale this time b/c I have kiddo #2 on the way due the end of February and I cannot justify a 2nd car payment when I have an 8 mile roundtrip for work every day and my wife is driving her overpriced Audi Q5, ugh. I have only put 4,800 miles on the truck the past 12 months. In November I bought a 2000 LC w/ 223K on the clock in my favorite color(River Rock Green Mica). It's now my DD.
When I drive the '06 a couple times a week, after daily driving the 2000 I find myself thinking I am crazy to get rid of the '06. The 5spd, the 275 hp, the VVT on the V8, the steering, and just the overall refinement of the '06 makes the 2000 feel heavy, sluggish, and a bit depressing at times. That being said, I love the 2000 as my DD. I put 33's on it and it has stuff that needs to be fixed and it feels like an old truck. The truth is the 2006 is just a very smooth smooth ride.
Other than maintenance I have not done a ton of stuff to the cruiser.
Things I have done include:
General Grabber 275/65/18 tires
4 New Old Man Emu shocks
New 27F Battery
3 rows of Weathertech floor mats
Weathertech side window deflectors-Front & Rear
Secondary Air Induction Bypass module
New Toyota gas cap
New Windshield
5% window tint
Plasti dipped matte black the factory 18's, the front grill, and the fender flares. I put 5 coats of plasti dip on so it peels off a lot easier if the all black look isn't your taste. The wheels are the hyper-silver color.
Installed the VAIS Soundlinq3 Bluetooth interface adapter to stream music from any apple or android device. The sound quality is actually very nice with the factory JBL's. I also installed the OWL expedition media mount where the tape player was located. It allows for mounting your device with an appropriate RAM mount adapter.
I am the 3rd owner. Previous owners in Jacksonville, Florida & here in OKC.
The truck is NON-AHC
Non-Smoker. Accident free. Clean Carfax. Southern RUST FREE
Gray interior, 3rd row seats etc. with good service records.
Body has a couple dings/dents here and there. not perfect by any means but good for a 12yr old truck
Timing belt/h2O pump done at 91k
I just spent $700 doing the 150k service.
Truck drives like a smooth tank.
I'm going to wait a week or so before I post it on CL.
I would like to sell it to someone who knows what they are buying.
Thanks guys/gals!
