Solara Convertible

My mom wants a Solara Convertible to replace her '97 80. I'm looking for general info like fuel mileage, years the body style changed etc. I really know nothing about these cars and want to get some background knowledge before we start test driving and looking hard.

Anyone know some of this off the top of their head, or a good resource? Anyone have any experience with the cars?

I believe they are basically a camry? If so, it's hard to go wrong.

Bailey, my boss has one that's a few years old. I think he gets 25+ mpg mixed highway and city. The A/C feels like it blows a lot harder than my Titan on their respective highest settings. Road noise is not bothersome, but noticeable due to the soft top, and is most evident while talking on a cell phone by the listening party who's not in the car. The car has had a decent maintenance record from my understanding, but does have a strange transmission shudder that is rumored to be "normal" for the model.
