I was thinking of getting a soft shckle to use with my sliders. I figure it would work well going around the sliders if I ever needed to use them as a recovery point. But what I started thinking is it would also make a nice point for lifting with a hilift. The soft shackle around the slider then put a regular shackle attaching the hi lift to the soft shackle . I figure it would be more secure than trying to get the hi lift under a round tube slider.

I'd rather have the pointy metal shelf below the slider than above and relatively close to the door. And it's easy to make / get a semi-circular notch adapter that fits the slider and slides over the lifting shelf if you would like to enhance stability.
A soft shackle may be great for the ARB front bumper with the tie down rings to lift the front, though.

I used a Hi-Lift to set the knot on my home-made soft shackle. So imagine the shackle on the pic below being your slider. The problem might be the "nose" of the Hi-Lift being close to your door skin.

We do that often in the field or in 4WD classes. One thing to remember is to angle the base of the jack into the vehicle so when you lift the lip on the upper runner will not touch the vehicle. The HiLift lifts in an arc.
