Would a set of soft doors that were purchased for a 1980 FJ40 soft top have any fitment issues when the doors are installed on a '76 FJ40? I've got a line on a set of 2-piece soft doors and don't think there'd be issues but knowing my luck, figured it better to ask!

I'm currently running a Kayline soft top and the doors in question are from Bestop.

I think all of the doors are made to work with hard tops, so they should all interchange with any soft top.

Andy, I think you're onto something. The door opening isn't going to change it's dimensions so yeah, both doors should be interchangeable no matter what top you're running. My only issue at this time seems to be this 'spacer' that I keep reading about? I'm assuming this 'spacer' is the sleeve section that fits over the metal shaft of the knureled (sp) windshield knob which when tightened, keeps the windshield at the correct angle?
If this is the case, I need to find a longer sleeve section as my windshield frame hits the hard door window frame in it's current configuration.
Thanks for the info.

Yes, the spacer is just the metal sleeve. This Link shows the measurement for the windshield frame angle - of course this is a mood point if your body mounts are shot and your tub is sagging in the middle!

I don't think changing the length of the tube helps though. It is only a problem if they are missing.
