SOA 60 vs. 62

Two differences that I recall:

62 front axle housing has a gusset that makes it stronger. This will not interfere with the location of the spring perches at all.

There is some sort of dynamic brake adjuster mounted on the rear axle of the 62 that adjusts the brake proportioning I believe. This needs to be moved up to achieve a stock angle.

Need someone to confirm but I thought 62's don't have to notch their rransmission crossmember and 60's need to....?

GLTHFJ60 is also correct, the Loas Sensing proportional Valve (LSPV) has to be moved up on the rear axle of the 62's to allow for the rear brakes to function properly. 62's also have sway bars front and rear that require longer linkages to work if they are used.

The 62's auto is longer giving you a longer front driveshaft. Because of this, it is possible to get away from having to due the cut and turn, although it is still recommended for many reasons.
