not on my 66, just drop the window. Not quite sure what you mean though

Sounds good. You have to pull those defrost vent scoops to drop the window. Maybe they changed them for the later years?

I think IDave is referring to the defrost tubes that come up from the dash to put air on the door glass. They are right in front of the screws that hold the windshield up. There are right in a position where I don't think you could have the windshield screws with the big plastic knob.

MMM, I'll try and post a picture later, but they are the metal funnels that go from behind the dash up through the top of the firewall rim holes into the windshield and up to just below the glass. I am sure John has them, because I've seen pictures. I haven't tilted the windshield on mine to see for sure, but I am fairly certain that you would crimp them if you folded the windshield down with them in place. Owyhee Jackass took his out of his pickup for that reason.

Where I live, defrost is important on about any day that you couldn't have the top off, which is most days in the morning year round.

Cool - now theres at least 5 lwbs in the toll booth state!!!! :D

Wow, that looks great. Yeah, Jose filled me in on your unfortunate experience. We'll have to get together and try to get these NJ 45's together for some pics. When Jose told me about your truck, I had assumed incorrectly that you were in upstate NY. Great to see more here in NJ.

How about some more info on your rig?

More Info

Count me in for the pics. Of course the day I met Tom and his FJ45 at Home Depot, was the same day I forgot my camera at home. Doh!
Maybe at the next Gotham meet???

The truck is a 1977 from Canada. Chevy 350, SM420 tranny. Disc brakes, sprung over, 35's. Sag power steering. The color is FJ60 Gun Metal Gray.

That was a great day! I come out and see a pristine 45 next to mine!
What are the odds! And then turns out its someone I know!
Rene was bugging me about checking out the spring over - he's doing his up now.

Well, looks like we'll have to add one more :D

Wayne (crushers) put me in contact with another guy here in NJ that I talked to today. Guy's name is Greg and he lives in Vineland. Has a 45 he brought in from the Mohave. So all told, once I get mine down here that will be at least 6 in NJ

We'll be hopefully having a GCLC meeting in April, so maybe we can get them all there for that excluding the one cruise4070 has too much crap piled up on lol.

Cool- maybe by then I can dig one out of its ice cave!
