So is it legitly 25% off? I havent ordered mine yet! Need to deposit my paycheck first haha
haha yes it is!! I'm thinking about ordering the bulbs from them as well. DDM sells the same bulb for the 35w and 55w kit, and I might trust TRS more.

ya I called back and ordered their bulb as well, they sauid that with the 55w ballast, the 35w 5000k will look more like 4300k, so I went with the 5000k.
They also said won't ship until they get all 25 orders... so everyone order now so we can get it ASAP!!!!

Just placed my order! I'm still debating though...I went for the 35W setup, but I'm still considering the 50W. I guess either way it will blow my halogens out of the water. Thank for organizing this group buy LJ!!

Sweet! I'm not sure if you guys are all ordering the Minis, but going beyond 50 watts has caused problems with many owners.
Does anyone know if you can run the 3Five 5000k bulbs with the 50w ballasts?
I'm assuming that the full kit, plus maybe some glue, should handle things for me?
I have to admit, i am REALLY nervous about this install. The straight HID install from DDM was cake...this is different!

That is why I am going 35W. I read a few threads about the mini's melting and the chrome inside just flaking away. I will run my 55W kit for a couple weeks while I order a new set of ballasts.

I have been waiting for this opportunity for ages. If I can I will do a full write up. that is... if I don't butcher it up. This could turn into a messy expensive project. I don't see what is so hard about it though.
-remove headlight.
-place and mark on floor and mark oem cutoff.
-pull headlight apart
-glue projector in and make sure you retain the oem cutoff adjustment range. Adjust projector if off, not headlight. Line up with OEM cutoff (or fade if you want to call it that)
-measure up and cut a slot for projector to slide back into
-screw in brackets and slide in projector.
-put headlight together and seal up back
-plug in and drive around not worrying about blinding someone

You guys have this one a lot easier than I do with the GTO. They had a halogen projector cast into the inner headlight bracket...I have no choice but to cut it out with a Dremel and make the FX-Rs fit. Talk about nervous... It's a good thing I procured a spare headlight to use as a martyr.
