So how many 60's do you think are left in the U.S.?

Although there does not appear to be a good consensus about the numbers of 60's, the bottom line is that nationwide there are not a whole lot of classic Landcruisers out there ... . Given this, it is amazing that there exists such a viable landcruiser industry that is providing us parts and service. ... Let us be thankful that so many of our suppliers and parts people are addicts too.

I think yer both right...

The low numbers of production in the US makes this vehicle 'what it is' to some extent.

I go for months without seeing another cruiser.

I know two 40s in town that have never left the driveway.

There are prolly 3 60s in bloomington IN.

I know how you feel about not seeing many 60s on the road. My father lives in Sebring, FL and he hasn't seen any around there for quite some time. Any Sebring, FL cruisers on MUD????

saw 3 fj-60s in Portland, OR cruising around at lunch. One had a huge "BIODIESEL" sticker on it.

Make that 4 cruisin in Portland. Stickers and full of crazy dogs. I see a few around town all the time. Im in milwaukie though, never really in Hillsboro. There is a sweet white 60 downtown that is SU with shakle reversal, body lift and 37's. Looks sweet. Bullbar, sidebar, the works. Think its a vortec v8.

Man, hearing about all these Landcruisers in Portland (specifically, the Mud members) makes me think we should rally the troops and get a club together to meet one another. Hell, I'd love that. It would be cool to see other people's rigs.

yep, saw that white/biege one you are talking about ON 37s. Its over in the NW district right? Something like 16th and Savier?

I'd love to rally some 60s up to browns camps. PM me and check out Cascade cruisers at http://www.cascadecruisers.com/yabbse/index.php

Sounds like there is a big run up brown's camp with mostly cruisers. It would be cool to make a big show with us 60 guys.

i have 1 and know where 2 more sit in the weeds

I'm beginning to think that I have the only one in the state of Indiana. The only other one i have ever seen was my brothers and he was visiting from Minnesota. Wish my occupation would allow me to move to a Cruiser state!!

1 in KS

I have one in KS. I am fairly new, but over the last year, I have gone to events in KS, MO and AR. I see less than a half a dozen total at each event, and most are stock. Some are like mine with OME, Lower gearing, lockers and maybe some basic body protection. The toughest thing I have found is on rough/steep trails, I have to be very careful not to smash the roof or break out my rear windows because it is pretty tall. On the other hand, the longer wheel base comes in handy from time to time.

Willamette Valley

I live in a historic neighborhood in Salem, OR (just down the road from Portland) and there are four FJ60's within a four block radius. One stock looking FJ40. And at least three current 100 series LC/Lexus grocery wagons.

My FJ60 certainly doesn't fit in to my uptight street - esp since I park on the street so the wife can park her 80 in the carport. The oil stains on the street/hood open with beer on the bumper doesn't win me any favors with the Sunset Home Magazine/stick up their back side neighbors.

Still though, they are relatively rare around here.

Oddly enough, I bought my 60 in salem.... just blocks from the Downtown area.

blocks from downtown, well if that is blocks to the south, you were right in my backyard.

If any of you guys came for a trip to Oz I'm sure your head would fall off from to much rubber necking. 60's are everywhere. :D
I live in town with a population of around 50,000 and there would have to somewhere between 50 to 100 60 series. I could drive into town (about 10km) and be very suprised if I didn't see two or three.

This by no meens takes away from the enjoyment of owning a 60 though, it just means more spare parts for the future.:) :)

Yeah I went to Cruisin in the Woods 2 years ago and had a good time. My truck had a hard time getting through everything though, was wet and muddy. My only mod is a 2.5 lift kit +33's bfg. Sliders, mud tires and a locker would have been a HUGH help. Maybe all the 60's can show up to that this year or at the trail series they have at Browns in sept I think? Would give me an excuse to spend some money on the truck. UMM Honey, I cant go 4x4 again until I get some more stuff for the truck:crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:

I just bought one originally from AZ. There are three that I know of in Petaluma, CA

went to the BHCC a few weeks back there was mine another there..mine is pretty modded out the other was stock and only went on the trail one day and that was before the event...but there was the sweetest looking right side drive, diesel, 61 there...it took me till the last day that i was the only 60 on the trails for a cruiser event....

we should all get together and plan a a 60 series run somewhere in the middle...
