An LX is not a plow vehicle. Get an old pick-up.
Hey, if I had one vehicle and needed it to be multi-purpose I'd do it! Banjos might play, but I'd do it! 
From a practicality standpoint, you'd probably need to do some fabbing to make a blade attachment.

It is possible to leave AHC in a given position. I think Slee even sells a kit to lock the AHC up.
Post up a pic when you get that blade mounted! You'll have AWD and heated seats for plowing, that beats an old plow truck!

We use a 1996 80 series for a plow truck. Beat the old Chebies we had before.
You must not like 80's very much. Turned 1 into plow and several into a limo, and we all remember what you did to the one that becacame that poor poor short bus....
Banged up 250k mile 80 is still better than a 250k mile old Suburban
