Got all my junk sorted out, I think. Gonna head up to Gallina area (Santa Fe Nat’l Forest off Hwy 112 south of el Vado lake).
Interest?
Rolling through bernalillo 8:30ish or meet in Cuba.
I have no idea what conditions will be. Maybe snowy maybe muddy maybe a lot of both.
I’m towing up the 4Runner, 37’s no chains. @Chompers did fine in this area in his 4RUNNER on 285’s.

That sounds like fun, Im already close to being sick of being cold!

Have fun! Wish I could go again today.

Pretty excellent day in the area I really enjoy. Snow was somewhat blown off on west slopes, but a good base is developing. Lotta Bambi’s, a few elkies and a bald eagle.
Not so excellent day coming back.

I love how peaceful and quiet it is motoring around in the snow at 800-1000 rpm. iPhone exaggerates every rattle and gear whine

Cool. Glad to see you got into some snow. What happened? Your tow rig break down?

Lost all power I-25 South at the big I. Restarts very rough.
Ya, I'm the guy that can break an anvil with a rubber hammer

I know the feeling, but that's ok when you're also the guy that can put it back together enough to make it work with wire and duct tape.

I've seen Grant MacGyver in action!

I was very glad you were there! That was a definite "Oh S!!!" moment, but the fact that your rig was operational and on solid ground made it a lot easier to sort out.

Def would have been a long, cold hike. Oh, and dark.
