I had some snow chains snap on me last winter in the Sierras that left us stranded. No bueno. Shopping for a new set this winter and thought I'd ask for some advice. There are so many variations out there. What mm thickness do you go for? Should I stick with the old fashion cam locks or some of those more engineered applications that look more flimsy but easier to put on? I am running 285/65R/18

You're going to run into clearance issues in the front unless you have aftermarket UCAs - especially with the tire width you're running. I was able to squeeze chains on all 4 wheels of my 100 series with 275/70/18, aftermarket UCAs and 1.25" spacers. I loved the RUD Grip 4x4 chains and will likely be getting some for the 200 when I need new tires. Good luck!
