If you will be at the Relic Run and have an installed Sniper I would like to see and talk to you about your installation and experience. If you are within a 100 mies of Fayetteville I’d drive to your place to have that conversation. Thanks

I’ll have my 40 there that has a sniper on a 350. I’m assuming you might be looking for one on a F/2F though. It’ll be towed by the shortbus

I have one that Marshall at Trollholes installed. I can share my issues AND success, but i did not do the install

same on mine. On a 355 smallblock. Had some issues, but once sorted it has been great. I got the kit from a frustrated friend and it turned out to be a bad IAC. I will be there. I really like it.

I get asked about Sniper EFI all the time.. usually end up talking people out of it. I don't really see the point on a 2F
What has you thinking about one?

my earliest cars all had carbs. A Skylark and Trump Spitfire were absolute pain in the rear to keep adjusted and me and manual chokes don’t get along

what do those cars have to do with your 1980 FJ40?
The Sniper kit and all the parts to do a proper installation are over $3K. For 1/3 of the price you can bolt a brand new OEM carb onto your truck and in my opinion the difference in drivability is negligble.
Most of the time guys with "carb issues" have improverly adjusted valves, igition timing wrong, worn distributors, old spark plugs, vacuum leaks, or all of the above
