Sorry if this questions has been asked and answered b4...has anyone matched up an SM 465 and an Orion t-case? Thanks. t

What..., no proper introductions.........

You think you can just pop in and ask a question.......

Welcome to MUD :flipoff2: I'll be watching for this answer also :D

Sorry. I have a new cooler that keeps ice/beer cold for five days. I should have started with that. t

Howdy! Now there's a man that has his priorities in the right order!! Welcome aboard. Unfortunately, I do not have the answer for ya. John

Ruthless, thank you, great info. Inkpot, good to see that we are similar thinkers. t

I have the 465-orion combo and I love it. the Orion was built by Steve Cramer and workes like a dream.
I rebuilt the 465 and prepared the output shaft. I chucked the shaft and started to drill and tap the end as per the information in the above mentioned suite. When I discovered how hard the shaft is I knew that I would end up breaking a tap in the hole and end up having to have it EDM'ed out.
Rather than that I just drilled a 1/2" hole about a inch deep and and TIG welded a grade 8 bolt that I cut the head off in for a stud.
When I got all the spacers and the gear assembled
I cross drilled the stud so I can use a castle nut and a cotter pin.

they are a pita to do, but if you back out often, it will go ok. i was concerned at the amount of muscle i had to put into it, but it went just fine.
