I have a optima yellow top in mine.

Also (1) note: The tray comes with bolts to use in factory locations. The bolt that fits in the firewall and is supposed to replace the factory bolt, well.... it was not the right size. I had to go to the local hardware store to find a bolt that would fit.

What was the problem with the bolt size? Too large or too small? What year was the truck. We recently found out that there was a chance in the hole locations on the later model trucks as well as the addition of some parts. We are looking into what is required to make a universal kit to match all years.

I had the same issue. - Not a big deal - the bolt that fits into the firewall was too small - I put the right size bolt in and the tray works great. I have a 98. Took about 15 seconds to remedy.

If you have not purchased your battery yet, may I suggest the Odyssey battery.
I love these batteries! I have one in my wifes LC, one in my Suzuki GSXR motorcycle, on in my daughters 1st Gen 4Runner, one in my 89 4x4 Toy PU, and I had duel Odyssey batteries in my expo F350 crewcab 4x4, and I'll be putting one or two in my new LC I just bought when the current battery dies. They are smaller than factory batteries, so if you get the the right size, you can fit two of them in one battery tray. I did that in my F350. They can go from full charge to zero over and over again and not be ruined like regular lead acid batteries and they last a long time! Only thing is that they are expensive, around $150 clams each. But worth it!

And NO I do not work for them, nor do I have any stock in the company...

......or their less expensive private-label version ala Sears Platinum.

Agree! That's the best deal out there IMO especially considering the warranty (and price of course ;)) difference and # of Sears locations all around the country.

The factory bolt is a smaller diameter than the one included in the kit. I will look tomorrow and post what the size is.

Sorry, I forgot to post the bolt size.

The factory bolt in the fire wall on my 2000 was a 6mm x 20mm. The bolt in the kit was too big in diameter. Like Utahfj62 above posted not that big a deal.... A quick walk over to the hardware store and 38 cents later I was set. Looks like there is some difference between years in the firewall bolt size.
