Slee Slidesteps has anyone put them to the test?

I often see the tube sliders from slee on rigs but not too many of the step sliders. I am considering the step sliders but I am concerned the tube sliders might be better, has anyone put the steps to the test?

i have mine Slee SliderSteps i use them many times its very good mine with 3 brackets i use the Hi Lift many times i think the tube should be more stronger

thanks for the input, I do think the main slider can hold the weight of the cruiser ok, its the tube on the step I feel can or should be stronger. maybe someone has put the vehicle weight on the tube and can tell us what happened?

Not sure why you think the tube is not strong enough. Yes there is more leverage if you lift the truck from the tube, but it still supports the vehicle.

Are you worried that the tube will separate from the main sliders, or the added leverage since they tube on the slidersteps stick out slightly further than the tube slider

I think saleh is implying he has dents on the tube form using the Hi Lift.

I've got the step version and have beat the crap out of them. Moab etc They work just as well as the tube version + you passengers will thank you for ease of entry and exit.

I've got the step slider and am very happy. I've got a couple good dents from droping the front tires off rocks. One was enough to knock the window off the track. But the sliders are still good and straight. Price is good for the quality of the product. Could be improved by welding it to the frame, that would clear the lower tabs and u-bolts out of the way. I've got stuck on them twice in a year, good odds in my book, I liked the bolt on ability. I think eventually I'll wear through the tubes from my fileing them(sandpaper will get you nowhere) and repainting them but thats a few years off. Tubes are plenty strong. One on the better products I've purchased. Definately saved money on body damage, wish I'd put them on before I dented my rocker panel the 1st time

Yup, +1 on trying them out. First time I went on the trail after putting them on a large rock rolled out from underneath a wheel and dropped me square on a boulder. Would've been $$$$$$$$$$ had I not put the slidersteps on. I looked at my wife and with a smile said, "see honey, I told you they would save money."

If you don't have to worry about other family members getting in or out or roof access, then just go with the tube sliders. They do look cool.

I opted for Slee's step sliders because of the above concerns and have had no regrets. I have drug and ground them over rocks and boulders with little damage a rattle can couldn't fix. These things are really stout!

My wife really appreciates them in getting in and out of our lifted cruiser. Now that I have installed the 285 revo's I find myself using them too.

Christo, what I was concerned about was the outer step tube taking the full weight of the vehicle say over a rock for example; would the tube wall bend or dent easily etc. I have no doubt the main rail would do the job but thanks to everyones input here that question is put to sleep and thanks for the offer 3rd Cruiser.

I do know that the limiting factor on my cruiser now is that damn "skidplate".
