Slee Short Bus With Hella 4000s (8 Viewers)

I didn't think these would fit on the narrow tabs but it turns out they do. I had searched a lot and didn't find many short bus bumpers with lights attached. So i thought i would post this.

I am thinking of adding another set of tabs where the tubes join and putting the lights wider and lower on the bumper. Sitting down in the V of the tubes.

That would look nice though slightly interfere with the high beams. Nicely protected spot, too.

Pardon stealing the bandwidth, but some also felt 4000s wouldn't fit on the factory ARB tabs and I found they will by slightly bending the tabs and drilling a new hole in the tab. Puts them in the exact sweet spot as wide as possible but not interfering with the high beams. Just FYI for ARB'ers.

From one fellow shortbus to another, that looks good! As long as you got adequate air flow to the radiator, I think that set up looks awesome! If it were me, I think I'd leave them just like that.

Looking far better in this position IMOP .. I don't like the light in the top of the front bumper anycase ..

Update:

I took it to a fab shop today. For $60 they are welding on new tabs for the lights. I'm also going to have it re-powder coated to match the Lexus. We found a powder that was real close to the factory color. I'll post final picks in a week or so when it's done.

I got my lightforce 240's yesterday. Apparently, it's going to be a really tight fit. I'm going to have to mod something to make them sit wider apart on the shortbus bumper. I didn't realize how close they were going to be with one another. I'll post pics once I figure out how they will sit on the bumper.

We looked at doing that initially, but the number of lights that would work in that spot is limited due to interference of the tubes. I might revisit this once we see how Treeroot does his.

Got my Lightforce XGT's and they were a really tight fit on the bumpers. Went ahead and got the tabs placed in the valley. They worked out great. Thanks for this post Sprocket3.
