I searched a bit but didn't see much.

I have an earlier Slee rear bumper and it does not have a reciever tube, just the mounting pattern for a bolt on hitch on the rear. I have used a class 3 frame mounted hitch underneath the Slee bumper several times. It fits fine and works great. They both use the same holes in the frame. John
Settle down Trigger. I wasn't being rude or combative. I also didn't offer you an opinion on what you should or shouldn't do. I was simply asking you a valid question...Which got me thinking about whether or not the the hitch manufacturer would back their tow ratings seeing how the mounting would be altered.
It is definitely a clearance issue, so mine stays off except for the rare occasion that I need to tow with it. I recently bought a bolt-on combo pintle/ball hitch for doing light duty stuff. It is easier to add and remove than the big frame hitch and it is more than adequate for my custom utility trailer that I have. JohnNot to mention negating clearance and departure angle improvements gained with the Slee bumper versus the OEM bumper.
Hey Peanut, you have an amazing grasp of the obvious. I don't think I'll have any clearance issues on I5 and I'll take the hitch off when I'm done.
Sneak a cup of joe before posting that.
Slee took mine off before installing so don't know if it will work or not. I am sure Christo would know.
