I getting ready to install the rear bumper and it occured to me that I may want to ask which I should do first? The OME lift (heavy rear spring) or the bumper?

I have them both in my possession :) I'm just trying to figure out if the weight of the bumper will make it any harder to install the rear coils.

Won't make a difference in terms of installing.

Trick question, do them at the same time..... :)

For grins I would do the springs 1st then drive around and see how bouncey it was. Then throw on the bumper and see how bouncey it was.....or was not.

 Unless you have trouble with the weld nuts in the frame.

When I ordered from Christo he suggested that I go with the heavy rear spring because of the rear bumper. I guess I'll be stuck with bouncy if it's bouncy. I probably won't get to the lift and bumper install until this weekend. Im going to try to finish up the dual battery and air compressor after work. It'll probably take most of the week. Between rain showers and occasional late days I don't always have a lot of time to play.

Fwiw, I have OME 860's in the rear. With the Slee rear bumper, a 35"tire, and hi-lift, the rear still sits high and feels stiff. Only time it has ever squatted was when I had 400lbs of lead in the cargo area.

I'd say it doesn't matter much since you sound like you'll do both at nearly the same time. I kind of wish I had heavies rather than mediums, It doesn't really squat, but with a tent, bumper and camping and a lot of camping gear I feel like it could definitely ride higher

My springs are Slee part number SOF2RH and no mention of OME on the box. I haven't opened the box yet so maybe that will be cleared up when I open it.

I'm ok with a little heavier load capacity and stiffer suspension. I spend my days in a 2500HD, short bed, Chevy pickup and it's no Lexus...

Well... I started the bumper install this morning. My LC came with a receiver hitch. One of the three bolts that hold the passenger side of the receive hitch on seized up (yes I used PB Blaster) and the weld broke on the captive nut. I'm going to use a sawzall and cut the bolt in 1/2. I haven't read far enough ahead to know if I'm going to need the captive nut (middle) or not. I hope not...
