Haven't decided to go beyond 2.5" yet.

I think you will quickly get beyond 2.5" on an 80.

It's not like you are driving a manual trannied, 37 year old rig.

The 80 series is grand luxury!!

well, he does have a mondo, serious rock crawler in the works so leaving this one at 2.5" for overlanding is pretty smart.
 
Then it's gears, bigger tires, $$$...
I really want to put the time and money into the 45crawler, not the 80. We'll see if that changes, but that's the plan right now.

So first up is sliders, then I'll beat it through whatever I want and see how much clearance I really want.
