Site is loading super slow lately. I am getting the top part of the page but then it just sits for 15 seconds or so.
I am getting a "waiting on ad.afy11.net" message at the bottom of the screen. Is this the larger banner ad under the navigation bar?
I am using Chrome. This has been happening over the last few days.
Any help is appreciated.

Zero Issues here, Chrome and Safari on iOS. hmm. I have most adds turned off with my star and the site you refer to looks like an add server.
 
that is an ad server...will check and see what adjustments I can make...I've got two meetings with ad networks this morning, I'll question load speeds with them both.
 
Same thing here, looks like a couple dozen things are loading up and frequently the page just freezes "waiting for -----". Using Mozilla Firefox. This is about the only web site I can think of where I see dozens of links loading and the page going super slow or freezing. Tonight things are moving fast, yesterday midday it was slooow.
 
implemented a handful of changes today, and continuing to work thru adjustments. More pending tomorrow if today's adjustments did what I believe they will.

The ONLY registered user to see 100% of the advertising load is me :) Registering a username automatically drops a few ad networks, and more drop as you continue to participate on the forum...

Hard part is tracking and solving the issues.

monitoring load issues is a headache...sadly, some of the ad networks will have occasional speed issues on their end and that pushes thru to things here...

appreciate the patience and the info to WHAT network was the problem :)
 
So my silver star has kept me safe from most of this I think, but I'm having the same issues today.

No fewer than 5 and as many as 11 or so servers seem to be drawn upon for each page click. The go by too fast to see them. ad.afy11.net still taking the longest.
 
huge problems loading today. i basically cannot load my user cp. it's not as bad on the iphone but still having the issues.
 
I had issues earlier this afternoon, but things are loading fine now. Will again contact the ad networks and again get the same 'we are looking into it' response and again discover that it magically fixes itself with no action required...

frustrating...
 
adjusted a bunch of things last night...haven't had any issues on my end since...and considering my cable internet is down right now and I'm tethering thru my phone for internet, if there was something slow, I'd see it x5.
 
and of course, gslbeacon.lijit.com is having issues right now...uugh...

fwiw, my phone internet connection to mud was way better yesterday than using my work connection which is pretty high speed.

no issues today.
 
I've been having painfully slow response issues as well over the last several weeks... just found this thread.

Using IE and don't have any messages what its waiting for... just extremely long load times (like 30 sec plus)

I hope you can figure it out woody - happy to help however I can.
