My LX has been doing this for a while. During normal driving on sharper turns (roundabouts, u-turns), the front end will make a single click/pop noise as the weight of the truck shifts around the turn. Does not sound like a thud, just a click noise like something is sliding in to place. A second click/pop is heard as the steering wheel is straightened out and the weight of the car returns to center. Thanks in advance.

Also check your CV Boots for any tears, or leaking grease.

Sway bar links? Mine broke and made this same noises when turning under load.

182K. The CV boots were leaking grease a while back. I shot some new grease in and re-clamped. Sway bar looks okay. I can't generate any movement when grabbing it with my hand - is this a sufficient test? How do I examine the ball joints?

Chock the rear tires. Jack up the front end so the wheels are off the ground. Grab tire at 3:00 & 9:00 and try to move it. Also at 6:00 & 12:00. You can also use a pry bar or 2x4 and gently pry against control arm. There should be little to no movement of the wheel. If ball joints are worn, the wheel will shift.

Resurrecting this thread because I have the exact same issue. No problems when I bought her at 185,000 miles. Lifted 2.5" heavy on front, medium on rear. Short bus + Winch on front, rear is stock.

Now, and only when turning, the front passenger and rear passenger suspension will pop. It seems to pop in to place and then pop out of place once the vehicle re-centers (just like OP).

I'll look into the ball joints and the CV boots. I'll also look into the sway bar links and bushings. It's just interesting to me that this didn't happen before the lift.

check shock top nut for tighness...

I'll suggest the rear track bar bushings if someone is still chasing this issue.

For me, this was resolved by tightening the main control arms (2) from the front axle to the frame. During the OME lift installation, the alignment shop loosened the bolts on the control arms which allowed them to shift under articulation.

Now, it's completely silent.
