looks like i was vandled agian last nite:mad:
looks like some fxxxing dickhead poked it with a small pocket knife...and it took them two shots to get through.
is there anyway to repair a side puncture? it's about 1/4" long on the out side of the tire, probably even less on the inside.
it took 20#s of air on it till i could find the problem.
the tire would not be returned to regular service, but held as a spare.

of course it's sunday morning, and all the tire places are closed around here, so i can't even get a tire ordered till tomorow, probably be tuesday till it arrives.

oh, yeah and it's only a year old with every bit of new tread....

god i so hate people...........

rant off

That's very true about a tire shops. They might not repair it for reasons of liability. However, you could use a patch and probably still use it just fine as a trail spare. I wouldn't air it down though, as the flexing carcass would probably loosen the patch. I have heard others say that if you run a tube in it, then it would be acceptable for highway useage. Taking the easy route, and sticking a plug in it might be good enough for a trail spare, but the patch would probably work better. If the tire shops won't touch it, it's a really great workout to dismount/mount your own tires, and patches are cheap. It could be a fun(or not so fun) project.

that is patchable just plug it, i have been driving arond on a procomp tire with a side wall plug for 2 years and it is still good
