YouTube - New LC80 RC

I'm sure this will be moved to the RC section, but you guys gotta see it!

Looks like we better start saving our pennies! (It says that it's limited to the Japanese market, but I'm sure it would be tricling(sp) over to you guys in the US and elsewhere!)

I'm glad you posted this 80 RC since I have been searching the google but only shows the 40. How much is that thing in USD? Would be great for Christmas gift.
 
I just stumbled across it on the 80 forum here just a few minutes ago.

From what I gathered it would be on the something like the "SCX-10" chasiss/platform which might have already been available. This is supposed to be a limited edition, and I saw someone mentioning if it were near the 60,000 yen mark he might be able to afford it.

Well, 60,000 yen is around $675-ish now!
But I don't see it costing any/much more than the 40 from Tamiya.
But again, I have NO info on any of the specs of the 80 from Kyosho (Another reputable RC company).

I wish I wouldn't have seen it as I already want it!!

Apparenly you can get it w/o the controller, etc... or w/everything you'll need to operate it (Body comes unpainted).

The release date was later this month, but one guy said that the RC shop he frequents did not know when they would actually be getting them in.

Seems correct to me having google translate the page it says 3,990 yen with tax. I am guessing RC Mart or Dinball will have them instock soon so I can order a few bodies.
 
Not to take business away from Mot but I have a friend who is a higher up in one of the largest companies that deal with models in Japan ( HobbyLink Japan Home Page )
I can have him look into these if needed .
 
The rate the FS is closing trails, this might be the only "off roading" we have in the future....

You can't trust what these online translations say, especially when it's a very complex language like Japanese... :rolleyes:

What it really says is that those people who own the chassis from them that work for the body they would be willing to sell for the 3,990 yen. :flipoff2:

It's about time there is an RC crawler 80. Hope they realize these will fly off of the shelves in the states. It's 1/10th right?
