Lunnette Lock Holder

This is a simple one. I took an old 4" U-bolt (not quite sure, but it was in my junk box.)

Our M101 CDN trailer actually had two holes spaced almost correct from what I think was the trailer's mil-spec electrical plug. A lottle reaming IIRC and I had the holes I needed. Drill as needed if your trailer is not so handy as the 'Canadian Stalwart'.

The lunette lock was ordered from Southwest Wheel via Amazon.com. Forget about calling 'em, it's easier by the internet. It's the [FONT=verdana,arial,helvetica][SIZE=-1]"Blaylock Pintle Ring/Lunette Coupler Lock". $28.95 to my door in short order. Added cheapie circular lock that locks like the fancy ones.

Your lock is always right there when you needed -- if you remember to add the key to a set that is in your truck.

I will have to pick one of those locks up. I didn't know that there was a tongue lock made for the lunette. Good idea for the lock holder.

Come'on guys, post'em up. Bottle openers, reflectors, tool racks, storage boxes, whatever.

Heck, probably shouldn't limit this to jeep trailers, but any offroad trailer.

Gas can holders, made by AT, brackets made by me. Looks flimsy, but my 200+ lbs bouncing up and down on it shows little flex, and it is made with 3/16"X 1.5" angle iron. Not trail tested yet, but soon!

Cheers!

^ while I can see the appeal, wouldn't do that, myself, cuz I might need to use those tools if something goes wrong w/the tongue. just say'n.

Um yeah, good thought.

along w/ 'Search". :flipoff2:

what are you looking for specifically??

Specifically? Interesting ideas that perhaps have not been posted before.

I like those AT jerry can holders. Are there any other good gas can carriers that people can recommend for the standard 20L NATO cans? Solid mount and lockable?

Frontrunner makes them and Camping Lab has them too. No experience with either. Been searching myself.

Well.....I like to think of my entire trailer is an accessory.

But by far this is the wifes favorite .

I installed a propane furnace into a 21" toolbox. with thermostat.
Keeps the wife warm.... and when Mama's happy....Everybody's Happy. :bounce:

Got any more detail pics of that tool box/ furnace.... ?

MANUCHAO:
I'm not sure what details your looking for in the pictures.
Let me know what are you looking for, I can answer your questions.
I bought the same propane furnace that our boat has in it.
It measures 16" x 7" x 7" I installed / and or mounted it into a 21" tool box.

I installed a quick connect for the propane.
Installed ezloc 12v plugs and built a two way plug to go to the furnace and the trailers 12v outlet.

I modified the tool box for the air intake and exhaust for the fire exchanger and plummed with SS flex pipe.
Punched 2.5" holes into it for the cold air intake and the heat output.

Assembled a hose using 230 degree flexable hose and a difuser on the end.

Wired a thermostat and crafted a hook on the back so it hangs on one on the cross bars in the tent.

Here's a picture of the parts I used. (Minus the tool box) it's just an ACE Hardrare 21" box

Awesome heater.

What's the small flexiduct for? Exhaust? Does the unit sit inside or outside a tent?

Brian,

I just noticed you were from Oregon .....Me to. Where you at in Oregon ?

The furnace is simular to a regular furnace in a house in that it has a heat exchanger. the internal portion is the firebox and vented seperatly. the external portion is where the cold air is drawn across and heated up and sent out to the tent.

There are two flex pipes, one supplies the air, the other is the exhaust for the " Firebox" .

and yes, It sits outside the tent. I put it under the trailer, and the hose "For now" I lay into the door and zip it closed around the pipe.

I have a rubber peice, and plan to have an ulpolstrey shop stitch it to the side wall of the tent. it will have a hole slightly smaller than the hose. that way it wont conflict with the door. and will will be more professional.

While you might not call it an accessory, this is the hitch from my trailer. Jusst slips into the receiver on my wagon. Its fully articulated. The only limit to movement would be when it hit the rig. It will even roll over if it had to.

Any more accessory pics in the last few months?

Here are a couple more.

The first is my LPG tank holder on the tongue.

The second is the jack holder on the back of the trailer.

If your not limiting to jeep trailers, I'm working on a ford pick up box trailer right now and am going to add lots "add on". here's what I have so far. The last pic is of the propane tank mount, it's unfinished.
