Holy S$%^ Johnny why the heck do you need such a huge winch?! Very cool though!!!

that's serious...I have a viking (made by pierce back in the day) 9,000lb and its never given up, but it's slow. Build the bumper for the size winch your putting on some 12,500's are big I just took one off a 60, but would rather not put in on my 40 due to size.

Not the best shot, but a 4+ plus with a Warn 8274.

  1. front position
  2. rear position (i build my rear receiver with 2 holes)
  3. anti-rattle ears
i use four 5/8" bolt to hold the 2" tubing and two 1/2" for the ears

the winch sit in the front bumper and small receiver (on crossmember) so i can install or remove the male tubing with no effort

i like this set up because you can remove the winch for city driving and i can use it on my 4runner for small camping trip.
you can go crazy and install a 2" receiver on the side of the rig (under the slider or on the roll cage ) to go thru an of camber trail section with the cable attach to somthing to keep the truck from rolling , or you can use it to rescue yourself after a roll if you are alone
