No worries sharing, it is not a project that everyone will appreciate but I am past the point of return at this stage lolthanks MIke, thats beautiful rig you got there with the Rock warriors and BFG's. The BP51's are some of the nicest on the market.
now its time to have some fun!
Im also very interested in watching your build thread on your 4 door project, Hope you dont mind if i share as many club folks love this kind of viewing pleasure! Frog's FJ159
Thanks man. I am leaning towards budbuilt as well, just can't decide on kickout or not. Also not sure on the which thickness to get. Next up is Trail Tailor bumpers front and back, then sliders and 24 gal aux tankSweeeeet man, looks awesome . My 200 is at CBT right now just for some routine maintenance, but they did a awesome job on my Tough Dog loft a few months ago. Indeed very lucky to have them as our local shop.
Feel free to reach out if you start shopping for rock sliders at some point. I did a ton of research and talked to a bunch of people recently on this topic before ending up with Budbuilt which I am very pleased with. I see you removed your running boards already so you are part way theee already.
Anyways, congratulations great looking truck, best of the suspensionoptions, enjoy!
Sick, you are well on your way to a beast of a 200. Any inspiration from @TonyP? Well I got a ton of advice on sliders and can’t sing enough praise to BudBuilt for by far the most burly product for the 200 and beyond exceptional customer service. Quality American steel. The real difference on the BudBuilt is the mounting plate that goes uninterrupted the entire length of the frame. Makes installing a little difficult, but much more stout than all the other sliders that just have several small mounting plates. Thanks man. Anyways feel free to PM me anytime about it. Also, friend of BudBuilt @Taco2Cruiser knows and can speak in extreme praise and details on these as well. He was a BIG help when I was trying to decide which direction to go and had a ton of advice on install. I ended up doing the flat step sliders, so they don’t have a kick out option on those. I needed the flat surface for little kids and grandparents access. Love them though!
On the bumper note, I hear Trail Tailor isn’t doing rear for 200 anymore. The front bumper he is making both for 1st and second gen. It’s on my list, definitely the best looking front out there. Both @TonyP and @Markuson know much more than me about it.
I ordered both from Trail Tailor before he stopped selling the rear bumper. You can still get the front afaik. @TonyP was a yuge help when deciding which lift to get. I am beyond happy with BP-51s. They make the whole truck ride so much better. Firm, yet soak up the bigger bumps. Biggest difference is on the washboard roads, going faster they keep up and you don't get the o crap the ass of the truck is trying to pass me feeling.Sick, you are well on your way to a beast of a 200. Very cool. I’m very happy with my Tough Dog suspension, waaay better than stock, but if budget woulda allowed BP-51 woulda been my 1st choice. Cool you got front and rear from Trail Tailor. Glad @TonyP hooked you up with his advice on all this. When I saw dark grey 200 with BP-51 his rig was my 1st thought. Are you driving out to California for the install?I ordered both from Trail Tailor before he stopped selling the rear bumper. Very cool. If you need an extra set of hands for the installation let me know. I’d love to see what’s involved for when I get my own.Nope, doing it in my garage
Anytime buddy, just let me know when you wann come around. I'm next to Arcadia High school. I work from home so I'm almost always around. I think if you see and feel these sliders in person you'll fully understand what makes these so stout. Pics don't do justiceWill do, would like to check out your sliders as well @DPA200
Thanks. 120 DOM, full diamond plate. I got them raw metal and painted myself with Rustoleum Hammered finish black (which is more of a dark gray). Bud suggested this paint route as it’s way easier to touch up scratches than powder. I really like the look of th finish. Yeah I wanted the 120 tubing figure always better to error on the side of going overboard for protection. even if it’s never pushed to the limit, nice to know it’s thereThose look awesome, are they 120 DOM, or HREW?
