I guess you never point your truck uphill at altitude:D

True, I did go to altitude and it did suck. I didn’t however try 33s at altitude but given the difference aren’t huge I assume it sucks balls as well. For altitude there really is only cure....forced induction!

Yes, I drove 33's for nearly 10 years up here in CO and they sucked too. Honestly, the 315's I run now seem to find the sweet spot in 2nd and I can stand on the pedal for much longer without it bogging down or hunting gears. I actually like the 315's better than the 305's I had before, but it all sucks at altitude....this is why I will be running forced induction some day:).

Yup with 35 and second gear at 4000ish RPM I can at least not get run over by semi trucks. Forced induction is truely the only cure, hope @NLXTACY get the turbo kit pass carb soon!

Depends on how big your tires are, how much uptravel you have, etc. 0 to -10mm seems to be the sweet spot for tall 12.5" wide treads, with -6mm a popular choice.

Stick with stock and 35, I don’t know anyone who can tell the difference between a 35 and a 34 by driving. I couldn’t tell that big is difference when I went from 33-35 and I went to one of the heaviest 35s in the market.

Stay 33 or go 35 aka common sized tires, even a truck stop middle of no where has a good chance of having at least a used one.

Stock wheels are know to be strong and last a long time, but if you like the look of fancy wheels then go for it. Just DON’T use spacers unless you want trouble.
Using rim 17 ( Gt wheels) 285/70/17 and spacers for last 10 years ( on the 3rd set of tyres now )
Lots of offroad and highway mileage! So far no problems with spacers !
