I plan to pull with a pintle but the potential buy is missing the lunette. What are the chances of finding the parts in red after I buy the trailer and trailer it home on my utility trailer?
I have a wanted thread in the classifieds.

What's the big deal.....just switch it over to a multi directional Max Coupler.

Quiet...lighter...all around win.

Now I'd your a purist and need to restore it to original....I think you have your work cut out fin ding pieces.

Thanks for the link, I've emailed them to see what might be available.

There are lots of options if the trailer is otherwise good. Try Steel Soldiers Classified section and place a parts wanted tread. Somebody usually has whatever you need.

the 101 and 416 are available although the latter not cheap I believe.
I got a 105 recently also, the big monster one, and it was cheaper than the 416 (and maybe 101 too?).
I believe they are out there. But aftermarket is indeed available with some modding too.
So a missing lunette is nothing that a bit of work or $$ can't solve.

Lots of people convert away from pintle so it should be easy.

Send an email out to the Yahoo user group. I bet you get an answer in minutes.

Midwestmilitary doesn't have any in stock.
From what I can gather the M416 and 101CDN share the same pintle lunette, spring and nut. If that is the case then I agree there are sources for M416 parts such as ebay or yahoo.
Thanks for the help everyone.

I'd just buy the pintle parts. Bolt-on solution that's stronger than any of the aftermarket options, and no fabricating required.

PO on my trailer had extended the tongue and put a lock-n-roll coupler on. Very nice. Max Coupler has already been mentioned.

After backing up my M101 for the last 10 years i can say it's a pain using the lunette. While I'm sure it's more forgiving on the trail twisting and such I would not hesitate to buy that trailer without one, I'd cut the frame and weld in a tongue extension and use a standard coupler. I guess it comes down to what you doing with it. Mine hasn't seen much off road action as I don't like towing it when wheeling. But generally it's used for duties around the town…

I bought a different one with lunette. The pintle parts are basically impossible to find. One did come for sale in Calgary for a decent price but was sold VERY fast and not to me.
