G'day Guys,
Thought id take some shots for show and tell. Been enjoying everyone elses photos so much, thought it was bout time i Showed some.The Blu one is a 68 , picked it up for $90 a couple of week ago, was orignally for parts but now it is getting brought back . The biege one is a 74 , it is currently our DD , it has a ford 302 and took us a few years to put together. Both are three speeds. I love this stuff.

A guy in Australia makes them , called the GT bonnet , thought it was appropriate as it has a ford engine.

what a deal on the 68, i never get that lucky! and the 74 is sweet.

and i also like the bonnet, what do they sell for down under. and are they steel or fiberglass ? do they have a web site ?

The bonnet was made by a mob called eureka , they make an awsome roll cage as well . The Bonnet is fibre glass and sell for around $380 Aus. I take some more shots of it tonight for yuz.
The 68 was a bargin for 90 bucks but unfortunetly if already sent over $2000 on bits and pieces for it. Its just the way it is. Im really lucky my wife is into it as well.

What is it with you Auzzies and your ford motors? Didn't the small block chevy make it down under? Just curious. I'm a bit of a ford fan myself too. Everything stateside aftermarket SBC especially transplant engine stuff. I get it but well I hate smushing the disty into the firewall... BTW love those old cars used in the mad max series. "last of the V8 intercepters" (dude pass the bong!!!) sorry I got carried away, it's friday night and I'm stuck at home in fron tof the PC

There is lots of fords in Australia compared to chevy anyway , 302 is a nice engine, light and powerful lots of grunt too.

The manx is 1835cc and as loud as hell. Ive got 45drla dual dellortos stashed in my garage to put on her but she goes hard enough as it is, plus she likes to drink the way she is. Thnks for the replies and look forward to talking soon .

I have one but the PO molested it and painted it pink ( the car was also pink) so i'll have to gently strip it and stuff. Its on the List........

A few pics of where i'm at with the 68 resto. Shes starting to come back from the dead. I'm just waiting on a few bits and pieces to come over from the US and i'll be on the home striaght.

I mean it would look GREAT on a 1971 Dodge Challenger. . .

Hmmm. . .has anybody ever stuck a 426 Hemi or 440 Magnum in an FJ-40? I think it would probably have enough torque, at least for casual trail use.
