Hey Daniel,
First, you live in an awesome town. We just went to the Summer Festival -- which we had no idea was going on until we pulled into Bend.
So on the way up here from Crater Lake one of the helper airbags I installed blew out. My LX instantly went into L mode and stayed there. I lifted the trailer off the hitch and tried going back to N, nope. I figured that the sudden weight gain on the back (when the bag blew) damaged the AHC system. When I started it up after Summer Fest it actually went back to N and stayed there. So all I can think of is that after the bag blew then it freaked out the AHC and took a while for it to normalize? I just got the trailer unhooked and cycled through the levels and it seemed okay. But all in all it's been acting up lately. This morning when I hitched up the trailer it dropped way down (below where L would be). The few times I've changed levels recently I've gotten the audible beep when it finishes the pressure change. And there've been a handful of times over the past few weeks that it just looks higher or lower than it should be.
The funny thing is that when I got to Summer Fest I ran into the guy who owns Import Performance and talked with him. He said to call in in the morning and speak with someone named Casey. We're only supposed to be here in Bend for two days before heading to Yellowstone.. soo it might be a lot to ask to get it done here. Could just roll on and see how it goes. We'll be in Salt Lake in a couple weeks too, might be more options there.
Is it dangerous to tow in L?
